The Partnering Group is pleased to announce that Chris Salcedo has joined TPG in the Strategy, Marketing, and Innovation practice, responsible for developing our presence in Latin America.
Chris has over 25 years of global business experience in 9 countries. Most of his career has been with Colgate-Palmolive, including roles in Innovation, Marketing, Customer Development, and General Management. Chris was also GM and COO of the Universidad del Valle de México (UVM), the country’s largest private university with over 100,000 students on multiple campuses nationwide.
A versatile operator, Chris has diverse experience in innovation, marketing mix modeling, acquisitions, advertising, digital marketing, and sales funnel management. He has overseen complex multi-brand portfolios in several markets, including Chile, France, and Mexico. At UVM, Chris led a major operational restructuring, resulting in significant cost savings, improved service indicators, a major pricing reset, and a return to revenue growth. He has also been the recipient of an Effie, and two YouTube awards, recognizing outstanding effectiveness in advertising.
Chris first worked with TPG as a client in Venezuela, where together they spearheaded Category Management initiatives in the country.
Chris has an MBA and a BA in International Relations, both from the University of Delaware. He has also attended executive training at Stanford University, in the summers of 2014 and 2017.
