Bob is a Partner in The Partnering Group working primarily in the Retail Strategy Business Planning and Training practices.

Bob is expert in a number of initiatives consulting and providing training to both retailers and manufacturers. He is a recognized leader with the ability to plan, develop and implement effective shopper centric programs to increase profitability and ensure continued growth in sales and market share. Bob is proficient in the category management business process, pricing strategies, assortment optimization, promotional planning, corporate brands, and merchandising placement strategies. In addition to providing consulting services he develops and facilitates competency based training to Fortune 100 companies in the areas of promotion, pricing, shelf management, financial analysis, new product innovation, retail merchandising and building professional relationships. Drawing upon his vast knowledge and experience in the industry Bob has been guest speaker to various industry events as well as lecturer at both the under graduate and graduate college level.

Partner Industry Experience:

With a career that spans 36 years, Bob is a proven executive and leader having extensive experience on both the retail and wholesale sides of the food industry. He is highly capable in developing best practices, differentiated business solutions and leading change in enterprises resulting in significant better performance and financial results. Bob enjoyed a very successful retail career with a 6.8 billion sales dollar division of Royal Ahold NV, the third largest retailer of food in the world and on Fortune’s Global 500 List. He is a creator of winning teams by applying skills in selecting, managing, mentoring, training, coaching and developing people in a diverse work environment.

As the center store business unit executive with full P&L responsibility, he led his team growing customer’s loyalty, sales and margins across multiple markets. Bob is a dynamic and visionary leader who as vice president had a track record of delivering record sales and earnings. He has worked strategically in center store, natural organic, specialty foods, private label and urban store retail formats.

Partner Education:

Bob earned his MS in Food Marketing from St. Joseph’s University and BS in Accounting from King’s College.
