Implementation of a new Distribution Network design with a client

Client Description

Mid-cap manufacturer and distributor of sporting goods to North America and Europe.


The client requested TPG to evaluate and recommend changes to their existing distribution network which resulted in an option to be executed per a defined timeline.


Transfer distribution and warehousing responsibilities to a Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider to manage 60% (by volume) of the client’s shipments.

TPG Approach

TPG assumed the role of co-project manager in the implementation of the this project. TPG led monthly reviews of the project and initiated solutions to emerging or present problems. Project sponsors were involved as necessary in these reviews.


All financial project objectives were either met or exceeded. Final startup of the new facility met or beat the implementation timing objective.
