John brings over 25 years of experience in the areas of Analytics & Insights, Trade Spend Optimization, Category Leadership, Customer Management and Strategy Creation & Implementation. He is a strong leader with significant hands-on expertise in data science, modeling, and analysis across the corporate life cycle: Category Leadership, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, and Pricing. He possesses deep experience in applying data-driven decisions across consumer-packaged goods, retail, manufacturing, and media industries.

Prior Experience:
Recently, he spent 6 years of his career at Sears Holdings leading the customer/business analytics teams with responsibilities of data mining customer purchase patterns, evaluating omni-channel marketing effectiveness, executing in-market pricing A/B tests, and creating numerous software-as-a-service analytics applications. Prior to SHC, he was with IRI for 6 years has the onsite analytics lead at ConAgra Foods while also supporting Hillshire Farms, Kraft Foods, Lactalis, and Henkel. While with IRI, he led and developed demand forecasting, marketing mix, and UPC assortment modeling. John also has held analytic leadership roles at True Value Co. and McDonald’s Corp.  John received his BS in Mathematics from Hope College and MS in Applied Statistics from Michigan State University.
