TPG Role:

Carla is a Partner in the International Practice of The Partnering Group. She is a strong collaborator and creative problem solver with a bias towards filling the needs of the shopper as a base for business growth.

Partner Capabilities and Experience:

Carla managed the introduction of the first Category Management project in Mexico for P&G and afterward, launched similar efforts in Puerto Rico. She worked across customers and channels to assemble multifunctional teams in both countries. Carla managed distributors in Andean countries resulting in sales growth every year. She also coordinated efforts to design and deliver an Ethnic Road Show focused on training customer teams and engaging retailers on connecting with ethnic shoppers using P&G brands. Her areas of expertise include:

– Multi-cultural Product Development Shopper Knowledge and Marketing
– Distributor Management Category and Department Re invention
– Customer/Joint Business Planning

Partner Industry Experience:

Carla started her 22 year career at P&G in Mexico. She then transitioned to Puerto Rico where she introduced and led Category Management efforts. She is experienced in business development across the Andean region. She has experience in Shopper Based Design and has done substantial work in U.S. multi-cultural markets. Most recently she worked at MDVIP creating channels of distribution for a personalized medicine initiative.

Partner Education:

Carla holds a BA in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University as well as a degree in Marketing from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
