ABOUT TPG
TPG LEADERSHIP

TPG leadership takes four different forms, which provide significant points of difference versus other consulting resources:

  1. Industry Knowledge and Personal Experience: TPG’s Partners are industry leaders averaging nearly 20 years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience prior to joining TPG. As TPG Partners, they have worked and consulted extensively with major clients across multiple types of product categories and classes of trade, both domestically and internationally..
  2. Proprietary Solutions and Intellectual Properties: TPG’s intellectual capital includes industry-sanctioned Best Practices and proprietary leading edge training and consulting processes. These allow TPG to work with our clients so we transfer knowledge and offer training and support to make clients self-sufficient. Many of our solutions are not available from any other source.
  3. Collaborative relationships with Manufactures and Retailers: With both Manufacturer and Retailer experience and expertise, across all functions and departments, TPG brings unique perspective and capability to the interface between trading partners. From within our current client base, we can often link like-minded trading partners in real world work-projects of shared importance to both.
  4. TPG is recognized as a Global Thought Leader in it’s own right, across a variety of critical business practices including Space/Shelf Management, Category Management, Strategic Customer Management, Strategic Supplier Management, Value Chain Optimization, Training, and Organization Performance Improvement. Thus, many industry leaders seek out TPG both for our past experience in, and current input toward, collaboratively developed CPG industry solutions.

TPG Leadership in identifying and developing Industry Best Practices and other leading edge processes has grown substantially beyond the original development of the Category Management concept for Grocery in 1994.

TPG has worked with a wide range of Trade and Industry Associations in establishing and furthering its Best Practices and Leading Edge Processes and has expanded its influence into 15 Trade Channels ranging from Grocery, Drug, Mass Merchants, Warehouse and Convenience to Pet Supplies, Books & Movies and the Automotive Aftermarket.
