TPG Role:

As a Partner with the Partnering Group, Tom consults with manufacturers on a wide array of engagements relative to performance improvement in Commercial (Sales + Marketing) Operations, capability development, executional excellence, and organizational restructuring/development.

Partner Capabilities and Experience:

Tom has a unique combination of Sales, Marketing, General Management, and Executive experience, with assignments and demonstrated performance in large, mid-cap, and small-cap companies, publicly and privately held, in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. He has built a reputation for strong and proactive leadership while delivering consistent and profitable growth by building skilled and motivated teams, developing capabilities, and finding alignment to internal functions as well as retailer strategies. Past assignments have included work in these areas as well as change management and executive/ leadership coaching.

Partner Industry Experience:

Tom’s career has been spent in the Food and Personal Care sectors of CPG, with management roles at H.J. Heinz, Kraft Foods, ConAgra Foods, Alberto Culver/Unilever, and Sun & Skin Care Research. His aforementioned multi-function experience has offered valuable perspectives on the importance of cross-functional collaboration, communication, and accountability. Tom’s most recent operating role was as CEO of Sun & Skin Care Research LLC, a portfolio company of private equity firm Source Capital. Additionally, he has been active in multiple trade and industry associations, holding board positions in GMA, NACDS, and GMDC.

Partner Education:

Tom holds BS degrees in Marketing/Advertising and Economics from Indiana University. In addition, he completed the Food Industry Management Program at the University of Southern California.
