John is a Partner in the Customer Development Practice at The Partnering Group. His focus is Go-To-Market growth consulting for CPG clients.
Partner Capabilities and Experience:
John brings 20+ years of Sales & Brand Management experience, driving growth in a broad range of businesses including Global Brands, $500M+ Categories, and start-ups. He has a blend of CPG and Management Consulting experience, most recently as Managing Director for a large management consulting company leading their Consulting, Analytics and Shopper Insights Practice. Prior to that, he held senior marketing positions at Kraft Foods and started his career in sales with General Mills.
Partner Industry Experience:
During his time in CPG, John had extensive experience in Brand and Trade strategies, consumer research, and P&L management. He launched two new products that each achieved first-year revenue of over $100M and also brought growth back to a $1B category by focusing on improved customer strategies and Trade Spending efficiency.
As a Management consultant, John has helped clients find new paths to growth, largely through improved Category Leadership, Shopper Marketing, and Pricing & Trade spending strategies. He specializes in customer spending optimization, including process design, implementation, and change management to successfully launch new TPM/TPO systems.
John received his BS in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University and his MBA from Miami University of Ohio.
