During his time with TPG, Doug has led more than 200 strategic consulting engagements with a focus on TPG’s blue-chip client base.

Doug’s primary responsibilities and expertise are in the areas of Category Leadership, Retail Innovation, Shopper-Centric Marketing and Food Service Consulting.

Doug has driven project work in more than 10 different channels of trade with major Manufacturers and Retailers in several different countries/continents pioneering new techniques in insights-driven planning.  He is a recognized expert throughout the industry for his work in category leadership/management and foodservice consulting.

Doug is a Flannigan Award winner (awarded by peers for leadership & integrity) and recently won the Industry Sparkplug Award for contributions in advancing the Foodservice Industry.  He is also the primary author of 2 Industry Best Practices in the areas of Category Management and Joint Business Planning and has been a member of advisory groups with various Insight Councils and Committees, Nielsen and IRI.

Partner Industry Experience:

In the 12 years prior to joining TPG, Doug held various Sales and Category Leadership positions within the industry. His “hands-on” experience in Category Leadership, Consumer and Shopper Insights, and Strategy work, has enabled him to develop a reputation as a well-respected advisor/leader to manufacturer and retail clients.
