TPG Role:

Andy is a Partner in TPG with substantial consulting and training experience across the manufacturer, distributor and retail landscape.

Partner Capabilities and Experience:

Since joining the Partnering Group in 1995, Andy has helped clients organize and develop the necessary capabilities and competencies to excel in best practice category management and customer business development. In addition to working with manufacturers and distributors individually, Andy also works at the interface between trade partners, leading the development of joint business plans at a top-to-top, corporate-to-corporate strategic level, as well as at the operational and tactical level. Andy has authored and/or facilitated more than 250 training programs specific to account planning, joint business planning, and category business planning/category management.

In B2C, Andy has worked with dozens of the world’s leading consumer products companies and retail organizations across a multitude of trade channels, including Electronic Super Store, Mass Merchandiser, Discount, Grocery, Drug, Value/Dollar, Convenience & Gas, Automotive Aftermarket, Office Specialty, Specialty Sporting Goods, Homecenter, and the Department Store channels.

Most recently, and in the B2B space, Andy has has specialized in creating best practice Category Management for the Health Care industry, with a focus on Health Care Distribution.  His work in this area is enabling trade partners to collaborate on the development of programs that drive greater efficiency and effectiveness for the Caregiver, while at the same time, driving for better patient outcomes.

Partner Industry Experience:

Prior to joining The Partnering Group, Andy’s professional experience included two years of general management with a leading software development and consulting company, and over eleven years at Procter & Gamble. While at P&G, he held several management positions including leading large regional sales organizations for the Soap, Health & Beauty Care, and Paper Products divisions. In addition to his sales management experience, Andy served as manager of P&G’s Worldwide Sales Training and Development organization, where he had responsibility for reengineering Procter & Gamble’s performance management system.

Partner Education:

Andy is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business.
